Whilst every effort to show the colour in its true light sometimes different devices may alter the colour slightly. 
During the painting process I like to highlight the grain and sometimes the signs of a past life will still be evident adding to the true character of the piece.  The surfaces will be treated with a decor wax to seal it and protect it for every day use.  A coaster is always recommended and laying water will eventually soak into any wooden surface.
