Flame Mahogany Bedside

 
A flame mahogany bedside cabinet with claw feet and delightful hardware. This piece needed a good clean and stripping the old varnish off. The carcass is now painted black with Vintage with Grace Mineral paint in Mr Darcy, clear wax has sealed and nourished the natural wood bringing the warm tones out beautifully. Some gold gilding wax by Redesign with Prima has refinished the hardware and highlighted the details on the claw feet.

As with all upcycled pieces there can be a sign of ware and its prior life which adds to its character. My pieces are had painted and not factory finished but sympathetically restored and refinished to a high standard.  Care must be taken until the paint has fully cured approx 4 weeks. All surfaces will be sealed with waxes or  high quality sealant.  Care must be taken when cleaning and a damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning.
